This wide-track Hilux Rogue was from Toyota’s first allocation in Australia. Joe wanted to build up his new toy for maximum aesthetics, with the end goal of a unique, clean and aggressive finish.

Joe plans to use his new Rogue as a daily, and will occasionally get to the beach for some relaxation – never afraid to cast a line and crack a tin. He and his construction mates have been keeping a close eye on the purchase after a long wait from Toyota, so Joe was keen to get things going straight away!

CUSTOMER GOALS & OBJECTIVES

Something completely unique that retains the new Rogue style with the wide body flares.
The build had to be an absolute show-stopper, so creative license was given to the TWD 4×4 team to create just that.
A clean and aggressive setup is important, but also wants to make sure that his Rogue is capable offroad as he occasionally goes to the beach when he has some down time.
Important to have a safety net in case he gets into trouble on the beach, so retaining the recovery points from the Hilux, and a Winch are important items.
Requires a roof rack to carry work-related products from time-to-time.
Doesn’t intend on doing a whole lot of driving at night, so didn’t want to go overboard with performance style lights.
Usually keeps his vehicles for a few years before rotating them out (business conditions pending).
Budget is not so much of a concern, but wants to keep it under $25,000 in fear of repercussions from his better half.
